On December 26, 2024, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals issued an order vacating the Court’s December 23, 2024 order granting a stay on the preliminary injunction on the enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA). With this order, the injunction issued by the district court in Texas Top Cop Shop, Inc. v. Garland is once again in effect. Reporting companies are not required to file Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) Reports with FinCEN at this time, but may voluntarily submit these reports.
Oral arguments for this case have been scheduled for March 25, 2025, and we will keep you informed of any new developments that arise between now and then.
